Just a Quickie
I'm in the middle of playing with a hacked machine over here in Villard. I just had to crack the NT password with a linux boot disc because the jackass who hacked the computer changed the admin password. Pain in the ass. By the way, said smartie-pants hacker was only using the machine to host stupid Spy-vs.-Spy episodes and stuff. This is also the first time I've typed a blog entry on an older mac. It certainly makes the interface (and my blog) look strange!
Anyway, what I wanted to talk about quickly was dreams. Last night I had a rather cabalistic dream. I dreamt I was in a coven and we were "drawing down the moon." I'm not even sure what this means, really, but it felt right. I remember knowing it was my first experience and being slightly amused. The whole thing was very pleasant and very powerful. A good dream for having fallen asleep feeling pretty lonely.
Then again, I also dreamt that Justin and I were starring in the Two Towers or some similar fantasy movie directed by his dad. We were actually quite unhappy with the production so we spent the better part of the dream chasing his dad around to various darkened and filled movie theatres. It was really weird.
The night before last, I had very giddy space-cowboy adventure dreams about Lilo and Stitch (which I haven't yet seen, by the way... so many movies I want to see!!). Anyway, the dreams were very complex and sophisticated but very amusing. I actually woke Justin and I up with my psychotic giggling! About 99.99% of the time when I'm actively dreaming I sleep silent. I don't talk in my sleep or even move much. I sleep blissfully but dream a lot. But this morning, I was laughing my ass off. Enough so that Justin rolled over and asked me what was so funny! His question woke me up enough that I realized I was laughing but I was still so much asleep that I just rolled back over and kept on dreaming. How very STRANGE.
Oh, and there's good news, too! The kat cam is up and running. I'll only have it live while I'm AT work though, because otherwise all it'll catch are the arses of the Math department office staff as they walk by. Truth is, most of the time when I'm on call there, I'm not IN the office... so you'll be lucky if you see me. ; ) I'm an elusive little fae! Other times, I will have some stuff posted for your amusement. Catch this cam and others here. You might see me on duty in the other office if you watch the Micro cam. =D
