Leaving on a jet plane...
Well, I finally got in touch with someone who was a) authorized to help me and b) more than a peon via the STA webpage... just to find out those seats are, indeed, sold out. FUCK. It's not like the whole plane is sold out... just the (quite possibly) three "student (zed class)" seats on it. So far, both STA and Air Canada have told me that it's not possible to upgrade my seat class. This guy, however, says that it is. I'm going to hold him to that, because boy am I pissed. It's more than THREE MONTHS in advance of my desired return date.

So yes, I paid $25 for the ISIC card, which is USELESS in Tokyo, just to pocket $5 of the $30 difference on student fare I saved... and am now being treated as a last priority. How is this legal? Does this not sound like a travel agency sham? UGH.

Raise me some money for my return ticket?
